To resist the falsification of the Good, we are obliged to turn to true exemplars of “heroic Christian virtue.” One candidate for further study and reflection is the Venerable József Cardinal Mindszenty (1892-1975), a stalwart witness for the faith and an indefatigable defender of liberty and human dignity in the age of totalitarianism.
