The Mission of the Rosary Priest, Venerable Patrick Peyton
The impact that “the Rosary Priest” had was immense, and even in death he is positioned as a saintly ambassador for family prayer. Peyton’s worldwide Rosary Rallies and his far-reaching media work all stemmed from a childhood devotion and making good on a promise made to the Virgin Mary to make her known and loved to millions around the globe.
In cheering for Scrooge and Bailey, we are cheering for ourselves at the same time. And then it may occur to us that this is the basic message of Christmas: love of neighbor, release from fear, and joy at the arrival of Christ in a manger in Bethlehem. “God rest ye merry gentlemen, let nothing you dismay, remember Christ Our Savior was born on Christmas Day”.
Recently, the second season of the series The Chosen was released. This series focuses on the disciples of Christ (i.e. those who are “chosen” to follow him), and beautifully re-enacts various anecdotes from the Gospels. I have shared previously that I am working to break the cycle of abuse in my family of origin, and […]

A man of few words, suddenly responsible for a child of incalculable worth? A man who finds himself letting go of the life he once imagined, in exchange for a life protecting a child who possesses powers […]
I was invited by EWTN to participate on All Souls Day and say a few words about the Communion of Saints. My host informed me that many of the televiewers know very little about the Communion of Saints, and therefore I should be simple and straightforward. My approach was staring me in the face. The acronym […]
It’s October, which means that people all across the country are carving their jack-o-lanterns and preparing themselves for the scariest holiday of them all, Halloween. This is traditionally a day when people celebrate ghosts, ghouls, and everything that goes bump in the night. But many Catholics would like to “baptize” this holiday and celebrate it […]
Catholics have produced some of the finest novels ever written, but you wouldn’t always know that from today’s selections. Some of the faithful have certainly noticed and have started to bring their experience and creativity into the fictional realm in hopes of shaping the broader culture and to re-introduce the Catholic voice to fiction. Today’s […]
