It is important to note that in Dobbs, although SCOTUS voted 6-3 to uphold a Mississippi law restricting most abortions after 15 weeks, the justices voted by a narrower margin, 5-4, to overturn Roe. The Chief filed an opinion concurring in the judgment, but not the majority’s rationale or reasoning.
