WASHINGTON – Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of the Most Reverend Raymond Chappetto, 76, from the Office of Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn.

The resignation was publicized in Washington on March 7, 2022, by Archbishop Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States.
