Ukraine’s Catholics want Pope Francis to visit and hope he can forestall or prevent an invasion. The Russian Orthodox Church wants another meeting between Francis and Patriarch Kirill, which the pope also wants, and which would be scuttled by a papal visit to Ukraine.
