On January 2, the Second Sunday after Christmas, Pope Francis delivered an Angelus address in which he reflected on John 1:1-18, the Gospel of the day. (In some places, the Solemnity of the Epiphany is transferred from January 6 to the preceding Sunday, and the Mass of the Epiphany is celebrated, rather than the Mass of the Second Sunday after Christmas.)
