The new vademecum (guide book) for the 2023 Synod on Synodality insists that Church leaders consult “people of other faith traditions, [and] people of no religious belief” have an important role in helping the Church “participate fully in the act of discerning.” So, you don’t have to be a faithful Catholic to affect the doctrinal direction of the Church?
