Cardinal Wilton Gregory of Washington has reportedly withdrawn permission for a solemn pontifical Mass that was to be offered August 14 in D.C. The Mass, scheduled for the vigil of the Solemnity of the Assumption, was to take place at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
