Following Good Friday services at Notre-Dame de Paris on April 2nd, the cathedral’s rector said that the burned-out landmark and its esplanade could remain a building site for another “15 or 20 years.” It may take that long to rebuild the roof, spire, and parts of stone vaulting that fell through to the main sanctuary during the fire on April 15, 2019.
