As Christians, we are to bring the Good News of Christ’s peace to others. Like the 72 disciples, we must be aware of our surroundings. In a world that often seems increasingly hostile to Christian values, we are to be persistent in our efforts to tell others of God’s love for all people. Though some may not believe that the Kingdom of God is at hand, that is precisely what we are to proclaim. It is precisely what we are to build up in our world. This is no easy assignment, but as Christians we promise to do no less.

We support with our prayers and financial gifts the work of the Church in spreading Jesus’ message throughout the world. We encourage the efforts of our parish community to teach God’s word to all who seek to grow in knowledge and love for God. We live our faith at home, in the workplace, and in the wider community in such a way that our Christian values are evident. We welcome each opportunity to express our beliefs to those who show interest. We do all of this with trust and reliance on Jesus who has called us, who has loved us and has sent us on our mission. We have received the commission. Now let us be on our way to carry it out.
