Priest of the archdiocese served at nine parishes

Father Robert Keane, a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis who served at nine parishes, died July 6. He was 95.

Ordained in 1978, Father Keane served as an assistant priest at St. Stephen and at St. Helena, both in Minneapolis. He served as pastor at St. Edward in Bloomington, assistant priest at St. William in Fridley, parochial administrator at St. Mark in St. Paul, pastor at Holy Name in Minneapolis and as assistant priest and parochial administrator at Annunciation in Minneapolis.

Following his retirement in 1994, Father Keane served as parochial administrator at St. Richard in Richfield in 1996 and at St. Peter in Richfield in 1997.

Funeral arrangements were pending. Father Keane will be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Minneapolis.
