Quaresima o quarantena? The similarity between the Italian words for “Lent” and “quarantine” seemed more that a coincidence as COVOD-19 and the season coincided bewilderingly. Christ names our uncertainty: our sense, especially in times of crisis, that we are not invulnerable and that our institutions are anything but indestructible.
