In the midst of this pandemic, Jesus says to us all, as we may feel alone and down, have courage, the God who sustains you will console you.Exactly one week before Easter Sunday, Pope Francis gave these words of comfort, reminding the faithful, following the Mass via streaming, that Jesus lived through this sense of abandonment and suffering, only to have total closeness with the Father. In his homily in St. Peter's Basilica on April 5, 2020, without the presence of the faithful as coronavirus concerns continue keeping most people locked down in their homes, Francis stressed we are not to be afraid, or focus on what we miss about our lives as they used to be, but instead realize that God is always with us, and with Him, we have everything.
