Today, the Director confirmed in a subsequent statement that someone tested positive in the Vatican for the infection.

Pope Francis’ two important meetings–‘The Economy of Francesco’ meeting with young people in Assisi and a meeting with the Global Educational Alliance–have both been postponed until November and October, respectively.

According to a statement, until March 15th, the Diocese of Rome has suspended “non-sacramental activities” until March 15, namely, “the catechisms of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation, the marriage preparation courses and accompaniment of couples, Retreats and Spiritual Exercises of young adolescents and adults and, in general, all group activities.”
