Father Emil Kapaun was a chaplain in the US Army and served in the Korean War. During the Battle of Unsan in 1950, he was captured and taken to a prisoner of war camp. His self-sacrifice, leading to his death, wonderments him a Medal of Honor and, from St. John Paul II, the designation, Servant of God.
