While the threat of laws expanding or enshrining abortion access remain real, and while the possibility of a Supreme Court ruling on fetal personhood or federal limits on abortion may still be desirable, the bishops seem to be indicating that the most impactful way to curtail the killing of unborn children today is by building a culture of life and making abortion unthinkable.
