Washington D.C., Jul 8, 2021 / 11:15 am (CNA).

The upcoming Saint Joseph Summit will feature the debut of the “Song of Saint Joseph,” a new original song by Catholic musician Donna Lee.

“It’s not just a song, it’s a prayer,” said Lee in a press release announcing the recording. “My hope for this song, not just being the theme song for the Saint Joseph Summit, is that when people hear it they will be inspired to learn more about Saint Joseph.”

The song will be scored in a manner that makes it suitable for choir directors to use in ministry settings, according to the press release. The song lyrics include the novena prayers and litany to St. Joseph.

The virtual summit “Our Spiritual Father: Pilgrimage to the Heart of Saint Joseph” will be held from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3, 2021. Deacon Steve Greco, the president of Spirit Filled Hearts Ministry, will host the summit, and his ministry will partner with Cardinal Studios to broadcast the summit online.

The summit is billed as the “largest gathering of Catholics for Catholics all related to Saint Joseph.”

Greco said he was “thrilled” that Lee will be featured at the summit, saying that her gift of music will lead attendees to deeper devotion to Saint Joseph.” He said that additional details regarding the summit, including the schedule, would be released shortly.

Lee is a three-time Unity Award winner whose music ministry focuses on pro-life themes, as well as reconciliation, the Eucharist, and the Divine Mercy devotion.

She is one of the founding members of the Catholic Association of Musicians, started by John Michael Talbot in 1996. Lee has also recorded two segments for EWTN’s show, “Backstage.”

The St. Joseph summit is free to “attend” online, but those who purchase a “passport” upgrade will be granted lifetime access to the presentations, a copy of the Consecration to Saint Joseph in audio book or e-book format, and access to other bonus content from the summit.

Presenters at the summit include Fr. Donald Calloway – who compiled the “Consecration to St. Joseph” – along with Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley of Boston, Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City in Kansas, Bishop Gerald Barbarito of Palm Beach, Bishop Kevin Vann of the Diocese of Orange, Dr. Scott Hahn, and Chris Stefanick, host of EWTN’s “Real Life Catholic.”

On December 8, 2020, Pope Francis declared the start of the “Year of Saint Joseph” and issued his apostolic letter on St. Joseph, “Patris corde.” The year will conclude on December 8, 2021.
