In 1948, when Archbishop Joseph Naumann, current chairman of the USCCB’s pro-life committee, was still in his mother’s womb, his father was murdered. But his mother raised her sons not to be vengeful. Naumann has carried his upbringing with him, advocating for a culture of life that protects unborn children and works to end the death penalty.
