We should be very concerned that Catholics have now surrendered the ability to guide ethical decisions at the national or global level, not just for the single, COVID vaccine issue, but beyond it to any ethical stand concerning research and development that uses fetal cells derived from abortion, whether the cells were harvested yesterday or fifty years ago.
