In editorial published in the October 18 edition of the Vatican newspaper, the newspaper’s director called upon readers not to be indifferent to the 92 migrants found naked and wounded on the Greek-Turkish border—leading to mutual accusations between the countries’ governments.

“We shouldn’t really be talking about the 92, but about each of them,” said Andrea Monda—hearing their individual stories, “looking them in the eye and asking their forgiveness. Looking at their faces and calling them by name.”
