Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing has issued a pastoral letter urging prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and action for the defeat of Proposal 3, the Reproductive Freedom for All ballot initiative in Michigan. The prelate warned that the initiative is “ the most extreme abortion proposal this country has ever witnessed.”

“Abortions would be legal throughout all 9 months of pregnancy” if the initiative passes, the Lozier Institute warned. “Public funding for abortion would become a constitutional right, reversing long-standing Michigan prohibitions on use of public funds to pay for abortion.”
