Raffaele Mincione, former investment manager for the Vatican’s Secretariat of State, is among the defendants in the Vatican financial trial; he also sold the Vatican the London property that is central to the scandal. Mincione is charged with embezzlement, fraud, and money laundering.

Stating that he acted in good faith, Mincione has sued the Secretariat of State in a British court.
