Is there anyone alive at this moment who actually believes that the world is in a much better place because Joe Biden is president? Besides Nancy Pelosi, that is, who arguably has not been alive for years.
Shall we ask the people of Ukraine, for example, whose country would never have been invaded had Putin not early on perceived the essential weakness of Biden’s leadership? Or the people of Afghanistan, who lost their country because, on his watch, he chose to abandon them, along with great numbers of U.S. citizens, not to mention billions of dollars in military hardware?
Or in our own backyard, where the collapse of our southern border has permitted millions of illegal aliens to pour through, bringing unprecedented levels of crime and violence (and future Democratic voters) in their wake—including, by the way, cartel-driven sex trafficking plus enough Fentanyl to wipe out most of the country?
And let’s not forget the devastations caused by blue-state Democrats determined to defund the police, along with widespread destructions wrought by Black Lives Matter, a movement far less interested in keeping black neighborhoods safe than in torching whole cities. Not only did Biden and his minions do nothing to prevent looting and rioting, including the burning of federal buildings, they positively encouraged it as witness the Vice President’s eagerness to provide bail for the few who were actually arrested.
Consequences anyone? There weren’t any.
The list, alas, goes on and on and on. I mean, is there anyone out there who hasn’t lifted a gas pump lately, or paid a grocery bill? Or who hasn’t waited and waited for goods to arrive from overseas because of supply-chain problems due to our having outsourced nearly everything to China? Apart from the obscenely rich, of course, whose numbers include CNN news anchors, denizens of the Deep State, Democrat lawmakers, and the woke elites of Wall Street, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and the Universities.
Fill in the blanks if you think I’ve left anyone out.
Well, what about the Biden Crime Family, not a single one of whom is likely to see the inside of a jail? Unlike the January 6 protestors, many of whom are still in jail.
None of this is news, by the way. Which means that unless you’ve spent the last couple of years living with Carthusian monks, you know what I’m talking about. This is not a sunburst of my own, incidentally. On the other hand, the fact that none of the above need ever have happened if Biden had only failed in his bid to become president is probably news to a great many of the people who voted for him. Which being about half the country should give the rest of us reason to wonder about the continuing health of our democracy.
But then he’s not really in charge, is he? His handlers are running the show, having shepherded him with great skill and cunning from his basement in Delaware to the highest seat of power in the land. How wonderfully helpful Big Tech proved to be along the way! The only thing they’ve not been able to manage, of course, is his senility, which appears to have worsened over time; and his temper, which is more easily inflamed than ever. Ask Peter Doocy, among others. If his recent performance in Poland is any indication, the poor man seems to have gone completely off his rocker, having just announced that the United States is back in the business of doing regime change, to which end we’re even open to using chemical weapons and sending troops into Ukraine in order to fight Russians.
Maybe it’s time to dust off Article 25 of the U.S. Constitution and return Joe to Wilmington. The Democrats will know where to find it, having tried countless times to use it on Donald Trump. But like regime change, I’m afraid, there is always a downside. Yes, that’s right: Kamala Harris, who knows less about foreign affairs than a French fry. And let’s not forget who would then be waiting in the wings. Nancy—Madame Speaker—Pelosi! And to think that these buffoons were supposed to be “the adults in the room,” which all those pundits kept reassuring us about just before the train wreck. It is all so depressing that one might almost prefer Mussolini to the gang we’ve got now. At least he could get the damn train to run on time.
Could incompetency on such a scale have happened, I wonder, by sheer accident? Or has it been going on all this time by design? Surely there is corruption at work here; indeed, corruption so widespread and pervasive that there is no other explanation to account for it. These are people, in other words, who’ve been doing it all on purpose. The absolute mess our leaders have made over the past couple of years, both here and abroad, was not the work of mere incompetents.
For instance, when the head of the Joint Chiefs, General Mark Milley,—our top gun for winning wars—repeatedly tells us that what really threatens the country is not rising militarism in China but climate change and white rage in America, it’s time to take stock. Especially when, only a couple of hours later, it seems, he proceeds to so botch our withdrawal from Afghanistan that, after twenty years of military occupation, we return it to the same barbarians who occupied it in the first place. It is as if twenty years after occupying Germany we decide to return it to the Nazis.
These have not been Acts of God; nor have they been the result of merely stupid yet well-intentioned individuals—you know, men and women who only meant well. If they had genuinely meant well, would transgenderism have become the issue of the hour? Would frantic efforts continue to be made to dismantle every possible protection for babies in the womb, including Biden’s repudiation of his own past, namely the Hyde Amendment that he’d been supporting for at least thirty some years?
No, this has all been systemic; a perfectly predictable outcome forged from the concerted efforts of a finite number of men and women intent on transmogrifying the country. Only they would never describe it that way—because, don’t you know, they were the ones who really thought they were making America great again.
How is that working out for them? For us?
More than ever, we have simply got to do everything we can—from prayer to politics—to take back our country. Which it is still possible to do provided a) we disarm our leaders by (finally) voting them into oblivion; and b) disabusing their supporters that somehow it will make no difference.
It has got to make a difference; and if we don’t do it, no one else will.
