Speaking to graduates of St. Patrick’s College in Maynooth, Archbishop Eamon Martin of Armagh said that the campus “could, if we worked together, become a model of sustainability and community well-being.” The archbishop focused his address on environmental concerns, saying that “none of us can be silent on these matters.” He said that the urgency of “courageous action” to address climate change was underlined by the COP26 meeting in Glasgow—where, he said, quoting Greta Thunberg, the talk of world leaders was “all ‘blah, blah, blah.”
