This movie is not new, produced in 1983. It stars Gregory Peck as the Monsignor and Christopher Plummer as the Nazi commander occupying Rome during the Nazi era.
Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty saved thousands of Jews from the Nazis also escaped Allied POWs who passed through the Vatican. It is a true story which makes it all the more gripping.
Do you want to see a Pope exemplifying what a Pope should be and a priest as they should be? You’ll love this true story!
The scene here is one of my favorite all-time movies scenes. The monsignor is restricted behind the white line of the Vatican border. He keeps taunting the Nazi general to shoot him by almost stepping over the line.

It will make you proud to be Catholic and inspire you to prepare for tough days ahead.
