The Vatican Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments has reminded bishops that guidelines issued last year for Holy Week and Easter liturgies will still be valid this year. Many countries remain in strict lockdown, rendering it impossible for the faithful to be present in church, while in other countries, “a more normal pattern of worship is being resumed,” it said.
