Pope Francis celebrated Mass for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, 2019, by reminding Christians of the great witness of the great saints: witness to life, witness to forgiveness, witness to Jesus. And he stressed that they were not chosen for their roles in the history of the faith because they were flawless. The Holy Father's remarks came in his homily for the Mass in which the palliums of 31 Metropolitan Archbishops named in the past year were blessed. Speaking in St. Peter's Basilica, Pope Francis pointed to Peter and Paul as examples of how God can use the least to achieve the most.
